5 Best Ways To Use Your Leftover Fragrance Oil

Our favorite part about our candle-making kits is letting you be the lead perfumer! We include plenty of fragrance oil so you can blend and play with your fragrance oils to create a unique-to-you candle scent. This means that you'll have some leftover oil after you make your candle.

Below are 5 of our favorite ways to use leftover fragrance oil :)

1. Make DIY Body Scrub (made from the morning’s coffee grinds)

Elevate the everyday shower by mixing up a single use body scrub with your leftover kit oil, coconut oil, and used coffee grinds.

Rise and Grind Body Scrub

Ingredients:

2 Tablespoons of used coffee grinds

½ teaspoon olive oil

½ teaspoon candle kit oil

Instructions:

Mix and combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Lightly rub on skin in shower or bath.  Rinse well.

2. Aromatherapeutic Compress

Help reduce stress and trigger relaxation with a hot or cold compress.

Soak a few washcloths in some water mixed with leftover candle-kit oil. Ring them out, roll them up and store in the fridge overnight. For hot compresses, Microwave for 30-40 seconds in a microwave safe bowl.  Use caution when handling hot cloth.

3. Diffuse it!

These oils are heaven in a diffuser. Perfectly compliments an already lit candle or can stand alone for those times you just can’t find the matches. Follow the directions for your specific diffuser.

4. Add it to your bath!

Make your bath smell amazing! Just add a little leftover fragrance oil to the warm water.

5. Save your oil to blend in a refill kit!

Hang on to your leftover oils and blend them in one of our seasonal refill kits.  Each refill kit includes it’s own hand selected oils but you might just create a genius fragrance by adding a dash from a different kit!
